This fanlisting is for the movie Gen X Cops, starring Nicholas Tse, Stephen Fung, Sam Lee, Daniel Wu, Terrence Yin, Grace Yip, Eric Tsang, Francis Ng and even Jackie Chan (a little). Basically, a whole ton of brilliant HK actors and actresses plus Toru Nakamura (as the fabulous Japanese baddie). Gen X Cops is a wonderful film for a hundred and one reasons, not least of which is the fact that it stands up against western action films in a way that a lot of HK action films of the late '90's don't. I mean, the plot makes a certain amount of logical sense, the special effects are amazing - not only the physical effects, which are always stunning in HK films, but the others as well - and the acting is great.
I love Gen X Cops for a lot of reasons (it's a great film) but it's got special sentimental significance to me as it was the first film I watched that had any of the 'younger' generation of HK stars in it - Nic Tse, Stephen Fung, Sam Lee, Daniel Wu, Terrence Yin - and, as a result, it opened up a whole world of films and music to me.
